Measure LA & 4 LACCD Members

Ballot Measure / IE — California, 2022
Background

The Los Angeles Community College District includes more registered voters than 23 states. Measure LA asked voters to approve a historic $5.3 billion bond while four LACCD Board candidates were also running across the district.

Result

Measure LA passed with 62.31% of the vote, clearing the 55% threshold. All four LACCD Board candidates won, completing a districtwide sweep.

Assemblymember Dr. Corey Jackson

State Assembly Primary — California, 2022
Background

In the CA-60 primary, Dr. Corey Jackson was the most progressive Democrat in the race, facing two establishment-backed opponents with significant support from Sacramento insiders, real estate interests, and law enforcement. He was outspent 2-to-1.

Result

Dr. Jackson advanced to the general election and went on to win decisively.

Congresswoman Cori Bush

Congressional IE — Missouri, 2020
Background

After defeating a 10-term incumbent in the primary, Cori Bush entered her first general election without the advantages of incumbency. She faced a rising Republican opponent in a difficult national cycle for House Democrats.

Result

Congresswoman Bush won with 78% of the vote, and Democrats won up and down the ballot in her district.
